BUENOS AIRES, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Adrian Sanchez and Ramiro Hernandes scored second-half goals as Belgrano advanced to Argentina's Apertura semifinals on Tuesday with a 2-0 home win over Union Santa Fe.
Sanchez broke the deadlock in the 65th minute by thumping a long-range header past goalkeeper Matias Mansilla after Emiliano Rigoni's delivery from a corner.
Hernandes put the result beyond doubt in the 96th minute as he ran onto Franco Vazquez's pass and finished clinically from 16 yards.
The result set up an away semifinal for Belgrano against Argentinos Juniors next weekend.
In Tuesday's only other quarterfinal, Tomas Molina scored in the 95th minute as Argentinos Juniors overcame Huracan 1-0.
