RIO DE JANEIRO, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Flamengo scored three second-half goals, recovering from a goal down to beat Santos 3-1 in Brazil's Serie A on Sunday.

Argentine forward Lautaro Diaz put the visitors ahead at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro with a powerful long-range effort on the counterattack.

Former Fiorentina striker Pedro equalized by heading in from inside the six-yard box after Jorge Carrascal's cross from the right flank.

Jorginho then converted a 71st-minute penalty after Alvaro Barreal dragged down Giorgian de Arrascaeta when the Uruguayan was bearing down on goal.

Former West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta put the result beyond doubt in the 89th minute as he combined with Gonzalo Plata before rifling an 18-yard drive into the top-left corner.

Flamengo is now fourth in the 20-team standings with 17 points, seven ahead of 15th-placed Santos.
