Only about 10% of people have been infected with COVID-19. This was stated at a briefing by the expert of the World Health Organization (WHO) Maria Van Kerhove.The outbreak was registered in the end of 2019 in Central China, spread to most countries and was recognized by the WHO as a pandemic on March 11.There have been 18 million reported cases of coronavirus infection worldwide today.At least 18,011,763 infected with the coronavirus have been officially registered worldwide so far, and the incidence of infections continues to accelerate. More than half of the new infections have been reported in the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.The United States continues to be the most affected country in the world with 4,657,693 cases, including 154,793 deaths, followed by Brazil with 2,733,677 cases and 94,104 deathsThe third most affected country is India with 1,750,723 infected and 37,364 dead since the pandemic began. / NOVA
